On Monday, June 21st, 2010 our self-titled debut album will be released by Transgressive Records in the UK and Europe. The album was recorded in a converted barn in Bridlington where we lived over the course of seven days living on microwave food and bottled beer. It was produced by James Kenosha and mastered by Alex Wharton at Abbey Road. The album documents our past year of hardcore touring and is for everyone who has supported us in every way, shape and form over the past two years. It features artwork by our very own Tom Hudson and a colour lyric booklet with individual pieces of artwork for each song created for us by eleven different artists.

Bronx shows are the bomb! Going great. In fact, so great that 3rd show in at Newcastle academy James took a piece of his knee off to celebrate.

Cahoots. That pic is from after we played Rough Trade East. They gave us some free mario coins to use the photo booth. Looks like the Live At Leeds record has sold like hot buns from a bakery. Very warm cakes. Boiling cheesecake. Steamed jam tarts. Molten apple pies.

Erm.

Transgressive have just put a small amount of stock of the record online for anyone who missed out on Record Store Day. Bag one HERE and get 4 free mp3′s HERE

Thank Q

So today was ‘Record Store Day’ and we kicked off the day by playing an instore gig in London at Rough Trade East at 11am. Twas a very busy and exciting show indeedy. Thanks to all the folk at Rough Trade, everyone who came down and an even bigger thanks to the macho Transgressive for putting out the live 12″ today! If you don’t manage to get a copy you can always download four free tracks here from the record.

RSD isn’t just in London though! We also had an instore penned in for earlier today at Crash Records in Leeds. We knew this was gona be a tight one, but what we didn’t know was that we’d get trapped on the M1 for bloody hours and hours. Infact we only got back about 9pm tonight. Big car jam. So sadly we had to pull out last minute. So to anyone who waited to see the gig apologies from us all. If you got on the list then you’ll be able to get in when we set a new date for another instore which will be around June time. So big soz peeps.

Hope you all enjoyed RSD and put some pennies into some tills at some record shops! We sat in a car for 9 hours in the boiling heat making noises at each other. We ate much sushi and kripsy kremes. We read about a boy who has a set of legs growing out of his stomache, looked at dragon willies and looked at some kids actually on fire (thanks Bizarre).  I also had my shoes off in the car. Was pretty disgusting that bit.

Many cojones.

Hey all,

So after three weeks in Europe with the wonderful Blood Red Shoes we return to England to find we are off again playing four shows with non other than the astoundingly sweat inducing The Bronx and Mariachi El Bronx. This makes us feel hot and rowdy. Now we can’t say no to this now can we? The shows are in late April and are the first four UK dates they will play as part of a huge tour. If you happen to be going then you’ll see us on second.

Dates are below for you:

27-Apr – Nottingham Rock City

28-Apr – Liverpool Masque Theatre

29-Apr – Newcastle O2 Academy

02-May – Cardiff Solus
